Robots were spotted at the Los Angeles Chargers Versus Miami Dolphins game at Sofi Stadium. This was done as a promotional stunt for an upcoming Sci-Fi movie called “The Creator”. There were two Humanoid Robots in the Sofi stadium on this day. Hanson Robotics Limited is a Hong Kong-based engineering that specializes in making Humanoid Robots. Hanson Robotics is reputable for creating Sofia, one of the most advanced and famous robots in the world. In fact, Sofia has been granted citizenship in Saudia Arabia. Sofia has also granted various interviews.
A lot of people laughed when the AI surge started happening because they were threatening the job of creative people. The AI robots have infiltrated America’s most popular sporting event taking up precious stadium event seats.
AI robots were seen sitting in the stands, seemingly taking in the action. Their facial expressions didn’t look especially cordial, but they were cheering for big plays and dolling out high-fives to bewildered humans around them. The robots interacted with human beings sitting next to them. They also have hidden cameras and microphones that record their surroundings and transmit to a controlled room. Where AI is advancing at an unsettling pace, it might have hit a bit close to home. You never know who, or what might be sitting next to you soon.
After rigorous fact findings, we discovered these are not Robots, and they are not powered by Artificial intelligence. They are human beings in suits and prosthetics who are acting like robots. They are wearing robot facial appearance.
While some people who were physically present at the stadium were freaked out others were amazed by the ingenuity of the promotional stunt.
On social media, there were mixed reactions about the appearance of the Robot in a public space. The weird appearance of robots at the stadium has generated a lot of buzz and curiosity. Many people have taken pictures and videos of the robots and shared the content on their social media platforms.
Some people applauded the creativity of the ad campaign while others criticized it as creepy and unethical. People are questioning the safety of having robots in a crowded stadium.
Do you think it is a cool way to promote a movie or do you think it was a bad idea? Would you like to see AI robots in real life or robot should be kept in the movie alone? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.
